gpa requirements
by: ???Hey guys so I've started looking into sorority recruitment and what the requirements are. I was on Mizzou's greek life website and it says it's STRONGLY recommended to rush with at least a 3.5. Well...my unweighted is a 3.2 and there was also something on there about red, green, and yellow light gpa. I guess my gpa falls into the yellow light category so does that mean I still have a chance to get into a good house? Or should I not even bother? Sorry this is like a novel! haha

If you could only get a 3.2 in high school, the better houses will consider you a grade risk. And most houses want to recruit girls who will help bring their GPA up, not down. What was your weighted GPA, what types of AP classes did you take and what is the reputation of your high school? In other words, is it known for being challenging with 90%+ of graduates going on to a four-year college, or is it a pretty average school? For example, many of the Chicago suburban schools are extremely rigorous. St. Louis and KC, not so much.
