Any house under the all chapter average will be COBing. So it's usually Sigma and Phi Mu with a few other houses mixed in.

It's probably Phi Mu and Sigma, with maybe a middle tier house or two taking a few girls to fill the spots that were left by girls dropping after formal. Houses that are already above the all chapter average won't be taking girls. So you're looking at a very limited list. But SK doesn't get to COB because they got to recruit up to average chapter size a few years ago and now their house is at max.

So for bottom tier houses you're looking at Phi Mu and Sigma, maybe Zeta?

Middle tier I would say DG might take one or two, APhi might, KD might?

Again though, COB is weird and very secretive. All I know is SK can't, Delta doesn't COB, XO and Pi Phi won't and there's little chance that ADPi, Theta or Kappa will need to COB either.

Last year 9 houses did informal in the spring. Sigma, phi mu, KD, AXO, and ADPi I know were five of them. Any house that's below total can and will if they're smart (the houses that don't aren't just deciding they don't want to, it's because they're at or above total). Last year that was SK, Pi Phi, Tridelt, Chi O, and I'm not sure who the other two were (Kappa would say they were but they had 20 new members...) When fall grades come out you'll see the chapter sizes, anyone at or above 315 can't do informal. If chapters have like 312 they might not do it bc it may not be worth it for so few girls.
This year sigma, phi mu, and DG are definitely COBing. AXO and APhi did COB in the fall so they may not have to unless they had a bunch of seniors graduate at semester

Last year a lot of houses COBd.
Alpha Phi (twice), DG, KD, AXO, ADPi, Phi Mu, Sigma and Zeta. According to the membership report so did Kappa but Kappa never advertised it so I'm not sure if it was true or not.
This year it will probably be similar. A lot of houses aren't up to max so a lot of houses can. The max is 315 and I don't think any house took the max, except Phi Mu.

Your best bet to COB is to make friends with girls in the house you like. When they're only taking one or two girls, chances are some houses won't even hold events. They'll quietly vote one or two girls in and move on without a word.

The houses that do major COB events are Sigma and Phi Mu. Other than that, you really have to know someone.

DEFINITELY ADPi. They've been trying so hard to promote themselves on here it's so sad
