A whole .2 difference from top to bottom of PHA. So y'all can stop acting like you're so ahead of the "brainless" chapters!

while you're right it doesn't seem like a big difference, that .2 does say something, especially when its the same chapters over and over who are in the top 5. it means more of their 250+ members have higher GPAs. They value recruiting intelligence. While I'm not saying that if you're in tri sig or alpha phi you're an idiot, that .2 does say something about those typical top grade houses. Its always Theta, Kappa, Pi phi, Adpi, Chi o, occasionally tri delta in some order with the exception of that dark horse every now and then kicking one of them down a notch like axo or KD in this case.

Only someone who isn't too bright would argue that a .2 point difference isn't significant. I guess they never took a statistics class.

Actually I'm a business student and got 98% on my statistics final AND am studying to be an actuary of all things. A 3.4 would get you absolutely nowhere in my field so you all should really quit bragging. That .2 difference means nothing... Truly.

Because we're all so good at math, just a note that 3.443 - 3.130 = .313

While it depends what you want your statistical sureness to be, I would guess that with chapters about 300 members in size there is no significant difference between a sorority and one place above or below it, but there almost certainly is a significant difference between the top third and the bottom. If you don't believe this, look over the years and see how chapters tend to clump in similar spots. There is a true difference in grades between the chapters.

The fact that you used subtraction to compare grades really says it all

Can you read? I said SMARTER. Implying a comparison to how smart they were before. I never said they were dumb. They just rose from being in the middle with grades to top 5.
