cut from every house
by: PNMIs it possible to be cut from every single house before preference day?

If you have really low grades you could be cut as a grade risk. They really would be doing you a favor because honestly MU is not a cake walk like some would lead you to believe. Otherwise, as long as you aren't rude, present your best self and are willing to return or join any house, and you maximize your options-put down the maximum preferences, you should get a bid. Very rarely does it play out otherwise. I think that most who don't get bids either were rude or didn't like their options so they suicide or drop. You should enter recruitment with a trust in the system. I was cut by some of my initial favorites, but ended up in the right house for me. After you are in your house and meet girls from other houses, it will become apparent. I have lots of friends in the houses that cut me, and I love them. But we are different in ways that make us not fit into the same house.

^^^ if your GPA is below a 3.0 you might want to consider going a semester or a year through Mizzou first to get a decent GPA (3.2+ should be decent for college GPA's) and rush in spring or fall your sophomore year. You don't want to press your luck, it would be far more demoralizing to go through recruitment and be cut by everyone before preference day than to hold of for a semester or 2 to improve your grades. Also not every freshman knows how to handle being in a sorority and school at the same time as weird as that sounds you could get a bid possibly, but if your high school grades weren't that hot then balancing the demand of a sorority and school will be difficult.
