do any top sororities take girls > a size 4?

sadly..on his website..tridelt said hey do not take any girls size 2 or less(AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT IS A TOTAL LIE-BUT THEY ARE SPREADING IT) . Apparently they say if you don't meet their physical criteria you will be cast to gphi and a phi. Please check previous posts for clarifications. And PLEASE NOTE-this is not true. Perhaps in their cuts-but not a greek wide thing. They lost a ton of top girls this year because of 'new' standards' that backfired..they are now trying to keep girls out of any other sorority..SUPPOSEDLY bids will be open by them next year-3.0 or above and good looking you are in!

I know a very heavy set girl, Def bigger than size 12.... That got into tridelt this fall recruitment. The size 2 thing is so not true

As shallow as recruitment can be at times, if the girls rushing you love your personality enough they'll rank you high. A lot of girls talk to pnm with a bias on their heads, but some don't. So theoretically ( depending how that chapter operates, sorry can't share too much) if girls you talk to see your shine all week and give you high rank you'll see might have them on preference and if you're lucky bid day! Also having you being pretty in the face helps. Chi Omega is the top house that typically doesn't focus that much on appearance. Honestly though don't worry. I cannot even guarantee that you yourself will like a top house, you might wanna a Kappa, Theta or KD instead who knows? If a sorority casts you out for your weight do you really wanna be their sister any way? Go with an open mind. Often times girls focus too much on being what the top houses want and not looking for what they need in a sisterhood. Open house round of rush last year I was obsessing over the right things to say at the top houses. Once I had the conversations that I did I realized I didn't even like all of the "top house" and the next rounds of rush I payed attention to what I wanted in the girls and the sisterhood, and found my home away from home bid day. It sounds to me like you were friends with the popular group who all ended up in top houses at Mizzou. Whether or not you end up being sisters with those girls doesn't make you more or less of a person. Do recruitment for yourself and not an image

I was a size 9 when I went through rush and was never cut from a house. I went back to every one of my choices and wound up with three great options on the last day. I'm in a top house (though not one that is known for being superficial) that was my first choice and couldn't be happier. And while lots of girls gain weight because of drinking, I've dropped a size because of walking and the fantastic rec center. I don't know about TriDelt because I wasn't really a fan, but I do know that it's about more than looks.

I've seen some larger girls in Gphi. Like not from freshman 22 and alcohol either. "Superficial" houses also have all body types.
