competitiveness of it all

I've read so many posts on here about how competitive things gets during rush. I've also had a few friends tell me that when you rush at Mizzou it's very hard to get in the first time around. So do I even stand a chance if I rush as a non legacy with no recommendations?

It's really not that competitive, chances of you getting your first choice are slim (depending on which house it is) but you'll definitely find a house. If don't want to go bottom tier you should get recs.

you'll have a much better chance of getting into a house if you ignore the things said on this website and keep an open mind. It's only January, you still have so much time to get recs. I would get them if I were you, they can't hurt.
