sophomore rushing

by: Transfer

I want to transfer to Mizzou next fall. I will be a sophomore based on credit hours. I will have superseded a few class with a 3.5 gpa. Will I be likely to get a bid? I really want to be apart of greek life

Happy that you spelled "superseded" correctly. Sad that you misused it.

I'm sorry I didn't notice. What I was meaning to say is that I will be retaking some classes that will be replacing my grade that I currently have this coming spring semester. If all goes as planned I should easily have a 3.5 or higher.

If you have to retake classes just to get an A, that's troubling.

A lot of people have to retake classes. College is hard. There's nothing wrong with having to retake a class. Get a life, nerd.

Mizzou's Greek life is pretty welcoming to sophomores! Recruitment is still tough though, no matter your age just getting through is an accomplishment. Go in with an open mind and you will find your home. You have 15 great chapters to choose from, plus the possibility of a colony in the future!
Despite what this website would have you believe, every house at Mizzou is selective and cuts girls. That's right, all of them - there are many girls who are completely released from the process which means they're cut by every house. So you absolutely need to go in to it with an open mind no matter how perfect you think you are because getting a bid to any house is an accomplishment!

Yes, there are a limited number of girls who wind up with no houses to return to, but that is by far the exception. It happens most often when the girl herself has opted not to return to some of the houses she considers lower tier. She may be asked back to some of the "better" houses, but if they reject her and she no longer has any safety houses in the running, she is left with nothing. That's why everyone going through rush should make their choices based on where they feel comfortable and who they connect with and s c rew the tier rankings. That's the best way to wind up with something in the end and to be happy about it.
