So their overall GPA doesn't suck but besides having pretty girls who know how to keep a guy busy for a night does not qualify for being an accomplished house. I get it they are desired because they are the hot girls and girls want to be a GPhi because then they are associated with hot women, but that doesn't make them great.

shut. up. omg. did you not go through rush or something? everyone knows gphi puts on the best rush. walk down a line of pnms and ask them what houses they loved by the end of the week and guarantee 3/4 of them say phi. or they were devastated to be cut by them. they put on an amazing rush. they appear to be clean, put together, funny, sweet, tight knit, beautiful... everything a girl would want in a sorority. they. put on. a great rush. and yes, they get almost anyone they want and they cut the girls they don't. its very simple. when most of the girls rushing have no idea what the stereotypes are going into rush, gphi is pretty darn appealing right off the bat. anyone who disagrees doesn't live in reality. they have rush mastered and their return rates are the envy of most houses, including your so called top tier.

I went through rush this semester and this straight up isn't true. Those of us from STL knew the stereotypes before going into rush and considering how many girls from STL go through recruitment, a big portion of pnms know the stereotype.

Most girls I know did not like gphi. I know many who put them in the bottom and even as their LAST house they'd want to return to - #5. Why? They think it's okay to talk about their wild spring break adventures or they talk on and on about themselves and the PNM can't get a word in. Not just based on my experience (though the girl I talked to was self obsessed) but the other girls in my pi chi group as well. Not everyone wants to be a gphi as much as gphis think they do.

I'm from out of state and so were many of the girls from my Pi chi group, and none of us waned GPhi as our first choice. Many people had told me about GPhi but I wanted to keep an open mind, but I didn't connect with anyone in GPhi and many of the girls in my Pi chi group felt the same. One of those girls became my sisters (I'm an ADPi) and a lot of the other girls became Pi Phi's, Kappa's, and DGs.
Not everyone is fooled during rush, in fact many girls aren't. GPhi has allure because they are pretty and girls want to be associated with it but other than that there isn't a connection there

during rush aphis came off as pretty airheads, which i guess is appealing to some girls but definitely not the majority of them. i know a lot of girls preferred the genuine and still personablehouses like pi phi, kappa and adpi

Finally someone said it and completely agree. People don't understand how well they rush girls because they got dropped which is a reason why so many girls are bitter. GIRLS LIKE GPHI DURING RUSH!!!!! BOOM

A lot of girls just go with what seems popular and then don't find sisterhood but a fake place to pretend to belong. The ones who actually think for themselves and look for actual connection, not just "who will I look pretty in a picture with?" find sisters for life. Who cares if the house you feel best in is not the hottest or who got the best grades or who wins hoco?
