by: wowI heard either Delta Zeta or Alpha Gamma Delta are starting a chapter at miz next year. anyone heard anything about it or know if it's not true?

Yes PHA formed a committee so that there will be a process to start another chapter at MU at the end of this semester the committee will vote on adding a new chapter. I'm not sure when the new chapter will start or where they will go. BUT the rumor that it is going to be DZ or AGD is false. It can be ANY of the 11 NPC chapter not on this campus. It is more likely that it will be DZ or AGD because those chapters have a stronger alumni support in Misspuri than some other chapters, but it doesn't mean more than that.

Anybody being considered should be forced to have land under contract prior to doing rush or they will be doomed.
Personally, these two sororities have failed in the past so I'd vote for AOP, their Alabama Chapter is one of the strongest Chapters of any sorority nationally.

the National orgs have to CHOOSE to apply to Mizzou. Just because people want DZ to come doesn't mean DZ wants to come, has the money, manpower etc. to start a chapter at Mizzou. They could already be opening other new chapters and have maxed out their resources and not even apply.
And even if they DID apply, it's up to members on the committee ( GREEK STUDENTS) to CHOOSE and VOTE on which they want to bring! They haven't even opened yet--so no one has applied, presented or been voted upon. There is NO WAY to state what sorority it will be. It's not like mizzou just gets to pick whatever they want and that's it! The national organization has to CHOOSE the university first.

I hope it's not AGDog. That sorority tried and failed to make it on this campus and they have a poor national, not nearly as supportive as better sororities. DZ would be much better.
