what's wrong with me?
by: confusedon the pha website it'll say which sororities are doing informal at different times. I've seen alpha phi, kappa delta, alpha chi omega, tri sigma, and phi mu at different times. so they've all done informal at some point. I've emailed the sororities/recruitment presidents about my interest in the sororities and i have registered for informal. how does this process work? if sororities don't contact me back about informal, do they just not like me or do they have some sort of process that i'm unaware of? if it helps, majority of these sororities kept me until sisterhood round and pref round.

Some houses do not participate in fall COB. I know axo doesn't. Also many chapters that aren't actively COBing aren't using their recruitment email at all. So don't feel bad about not getting a response, they probably aren't checking it at all.
Your best bet is to go to the Greek life office to sign up for COB. They can tell you who is actively COBing!

Don't worry, it seems like most houses COB in the spring. But not every house will get back to you no matter how many times you e-mail them. This happen to me last year and I had to wait till spring. I was invited to 4 for informal but knew there were at least 9 doing COB, it's so frustrating! But hang in there and go greek because it's better than not being greek.

My chapter did a super small COB where we only invited a group of 10ish girls from our pref list that didn't end up getting a bid, and from those 10 we chose 3 girls to extend bids too. Many of the informal COBing right now is very very small because there isn't a lot of space in the chapter since recruitment just ended a couple months ago. And the chapters who are aren't doing a big process that happens in the spring. Nothing is wrong with you, you just need to be patient and just wait for the spring.

Keep in mind that there are about 400 girls registered for informal recruitment right now. Houses only ask some girls to come to their events, so it is extremely hard to get invited out of all those people. Just keep waiting and if you have no luck then go through formal recruitment again next year! Good luck!
