what?

by: Proud Greek

Just to clarify for most just checking out this website because you "googled" Mizzou Greek Life. The majority of what is posted here is NOT posted by anyone involved in Greek Life at Mizzou. This holds true for almost all universities in the country. It is an anonymous site. Anyone and everyone can post. You do not have to register and can randomly post. Please know that anything you read is most likely not accurate-and any 'rants' or "gossip" you read are probably posted by someone that has a personal issue with a certain chapter, be it a fraternity or sorority, or even just life in general. Please check out some of the reputable websites out there-if you have to register-you are probably on a safe site! there are many unhappy people trying to shut down greek life, not only at Mizzou-but other campuses, and are spreading many hateful things here. People feel that the past summit was a result of this hatej. There are too many good things going on with philanthropies, etc and they should truly outweigh the anger and hate being put out on this site.

I think the point of the original post certainly applies to the person who originally wrote it. I, for example, have found plenty of worthwhile, timely and relevant information on this site. To dismiss all of it is unfair. And to assume that just because it is an anonymous site means that it has no value whatsoever is erroneous. And I have yet to read a post by someone who is encouraging greek life to be shut down. As far as I am concerned, this original post is just another hate-filled rant by someone who has a superiority attitude. As for anger and hate, check yourself OP.

The majority of what is posted here is NOT posted by anyone involved in Greek Life at Mizzou???? The OP must be high. Of course the majority of posts come from people involv ed in Greek life. In fact, some of the information is so spot on that it could ONLY be posted by someone involved in Greek life on this campus. I understand the OP WISHES this site was inaccurate. After all, she's probably a GPhi or a Zeta or a member of another one of those houses that has lots of improving to do. But to say this site in wrong and has no value because people don't sign their names is absurd. So save your lectures, OP. And if this site offends you, don't come here.

There are many reasons people don't join a sorority and not getting a bid is just one of them. Some people are working their way through school and don't have the time for sorority stuff. Some people can't afford it. Some people think it is frivolous and don't want to spend their time that way and some people never considered joining in the first place. I am in a sorority and love Greek life, but let's not come across as stupid by saying the ONLY reason someone isn't in a sorority is because they got cut. Especially since the majority of women on this campus don't even go through rush. it's women like the above poster who make sorority girls look like vacuous airheads..
