why do people say the houses that invited you back
by: whyWhy do people say the houses that invited you back "REALLY" like you? If you are only invited back to weaker recruiting houses isn't it possible that they don't like you that much but other PNM's dropped them? It kind of frustrates me when people say this because it isn't always the case.

@alum, things may have changed since you were here. With RFM, the goal is for every house to make quota (which they all did this year!) so it requires stronger recruiting houses to release more girls than weak recruiting houses. This lets the PNM's who have no chance of getting a bid from a strong house keep going back to the houses who are interested in them. Fewer PNM's carry strong houses to pref because strong houses have much higher return rates each day. This is not to be confused for weak houses not cutting anyone, because they have also released a lot of women this week. The system works!

If you believe the weaker houses don't cut, you're totally wrong. All houses at Mizzou have high standards for grades, reputation, etc and all are looking for PNM's who fit into their chapter. Just because a top house cuts more doesn't mean that the weaker houses don't cut at all.....they absolutely DO!

No house is obligated to take anyone. If you got a bid today, that is an accomplishment in itself. Mizzou is a tough school to be Greek in and even our weaker recruiting chapters have higher standards than most chapters at other universities.
Don't worry about tiers right now. Enjoy being Greek!

I never said anything about tiers in my original post. I know weaker recruiting chapters cut but they do so less so than strong recruiting chapters. I think it is fair to say that girls going back to wrc may not be loved by that house but merely tolerated. If a girl gets cut and goes back to a house she is ok with but doesn't love because people tell her to stick it out, why can't you admit that sorority houses also have to tolerate girls that they think are just ok?

why do you care? Like honestly, what answer ARE you looking for? Do you want me to tell you the house you joined is merely tolerating you? Good grief.
Recruitment is so fast. You received a bid, now you have the next four years to make friends and be loved by everyone. You got an invitation! Stop worrying about why and go enjoy your new home! They might have thought you were just OK during rush, but you'll meet someone who loves you so much she wants to you to be her little. Besides, for all you know, the women you talked to ADORED you and ranked you super high!
You got the bid. You were invited to the party. They wouldn't have done that if they didn't want you there. A bid, is a bid, is a bid. Now go make the most of yours!

Not true, all houses make tough cuts. After all, they can only take what quota allows. This gives every house the opportunity to choose girls they like and WANT. Every girl is not for every house and they look for girls they want to call sisters. It's absurd to say that some houses make less cuts. What's really sad is that those awesome girls that drop because they don't like these choices don't see that THEY can be at any house, not what the house currently is. They will/would have been new members and help any house they join no matter the tier (which is BS anyway).
