don't drop out of rush

by: reality

The reality is that this is usually a rough week for pnm's especially Friday morning. Very few girls get to "choose" the house they want and most end up settling for 2nd or 3rd choice. I particularly hate it when people say you'll end up where you belong-simply not true. However keep in mind, it is better to be Greek than not to be. You won't like yourself for dropping out! Don't rely on cob because you may get invited to 1 or 2 houses despite knowing several girls in other houses, chances of getting in a house you attempted during formal rush are basically slim to none. This is just reality. So as the week goes on, go to every house you still have left and finish, keep an open mind. There is every kind of girl in every house and trust me if you really want to be greek, finish rush to the end and you will find life long friends. Like everything, it is what you make it!!!

You know what? It doesn't have to be a rough week. You can have the time of your life meeting new people, seeing all of the beautiful houses and getting a better idea of who you are. There really is just one decision to make. Do you want to be greek? If your ultimate goal is to be part of the greek system, then do your best, put a smile on your face and see what happens. If you just want to be in a certain house or houses, well, that's OK, too, and don't let anyone tell you it's not. This is a very individual choice. Just be prepared that if you limit your choices you might wind up very disappointed. But that's OK, too, because you will have met many new people and will have seen all of the beautiful houses on this campus. There is no one right attitude to have, just what's right for you. So enjoy yourself and have a little faith that no matter what happens, it will all be OK in the end.

Well "Or", all is good until "If you want to be in a certain house that's OK", that certainly doesn't mean that house wants you. Just make the best of it!! Go Greek!

Try thinking with that brain, because that was her point. "Just be prepared that if you limit your choices you might wind up very disappointed."
