Yep I only look good in really baggy sweatpants and am not comfortable in real clothes. Is that going to be a problem? Also I don't like to brush my hair cuz it's real tangly. Did I also mention I don't brush my teeth either because I am allergic to peppermint. What should I do??? Help!

You really need to work on your body image. If you look good in Nike shorts, you would look good in other shorts. And if putting on a dress is too outrageous a concept for you, maybe sorority life isn't for you.

I'm sure you look great in things other than what you are comfortable in. This isn't about how you look, it's about how you think you look.

There is a bigger issue here that it would be helpful for you to try to address sooner than later!

In the mean time, yes, you need to find some other things to wear. Find a real life friend or relative to help you. If they won't, see if you can find a friendly salesperson at a store. Check pinterest, tumblr, whatever. But don't look like you don't care!!

Also, every sorority is going to have formal chapter meetings throughout the semester where you will be required to wear appropriate clothing. Dresses, skirts, business pants, things that would be acceptable at church. You'll also have to wear formal clothing for ritual events, and next year you would have to wear the identical outfits the sorority women wear during recruitment. If you literally are incapable of wearing anything but nike shorts, I agree with the above poster who suggested sorority life might not be for you.

This is a mocking post, right? I highly doubt there are PNMS who don't brush their hair...and if there are they probably don't admit that proudly. Sorority life is not for you. You would be expected to represent the entire organization you join for the rest of your life. No one would want someone who doesn't care about how they present themselves to be wearing their letters. A lack of self-awareness and pride in oneself are not qualities for the elite greek system. You would HATE being in a sorority if in fact you managed to get a bid somehow.

I feel Sooo much more comfortable in Nike shorts too so instead I bought cute flowly soft dress shorts. they are a lot more comfortable but still very fashionable and nice enough for rush. You'll also feel better in these rather than chinos

Not wearing makeup, you'll probably be fine. Nike shorts probably not so much. The thing about recruitment is you need to look like you made an effort. A tshirt and Nike shorts doesn't really look that way. However, most other shorts will be fine! I second the flowy shorts suggestion because they're super comfy like Nike shorts but look nicer. Find some nice shorts you feel comfortable in, they don't have to be a certain brand or style as long as they're not athletic shorts!
I think a little makeup could help you feel more confident, maybe go to Ulta and see if they can color match you for bare minerals, it shouldn't irritate your skin and they could probably show you an easy natural look like foundation, blush, and mascara if you're wanting to wear a little bit of makeup! It shouldn't make you break out because it's natural! Also have you tried brown eyeliner/mascara? I know a few people allergic to whatever they use to dye makeup black, that might be why your eyes itch!

Stay true to yourself - soccer shorts, tennis shoes, no make-up, masculine look & you'll be recruited heavily by ADPi.

I know we will be walking a lot the first few days. Would chacos or tivas look too dressed down? They are just great walking shoes. I don't want to be totally distracted by blisters.
