Out of pure curiosity, how many of you say you're a Kappa Alpha Theta when describing your sorority to a stranger? I feel like y'all treat the Kappa and Alpha like they are irrelevant.

It's just short hand? Like the same as kappas saying they are kappas instead of kappa kappa gammas, or zetas saying they are zetas instead of zeta tau alphas, or DGs saying they are DGs instead of delta gammas, etc. Thats the sorority's nickname.
