Honestly avoid tri delt at all costs. It is literally high school and if you're not a private/elite public high school socialite you will not enjoy your house. If you're looking for a pretty party girl house with a solid mix of girls, Id even recommend GPHI over tri delt. I just know too many girls who ended up joining tridelt because they thought it had this amazing reputation and hating it because half their sisters were too hard to get to know because they "already had their friends." There are too many other houses with more diversity who don't just recruit their friends from high school.
If you just want to be a tri delt because they party, are pretty and have good grades, join pi phi, kappa or chi o, all of which also boast quite a few pretty party girls but can maintain grades as well AND have diverse pledge classes. don't ruin your college experience by joining a house just because you think it's going to magically make you popular. I can assure you boys will still date you and you'll still be able to go out and party if you join a different house, you'll just be able to actually bond with your sisters instead of worrying they might forget about you and leave you alone at the bar.

Now This is just not true. A lot of pnms wouldn't MIND being a tridelt, but most aren't gung-ho about them either. Most wouldn't lose all hope for themselves if they lost that house.
However, to the ones that would lose it if they lost tridelt, of all the false, petty bullcrap on this site, whoever wrote this could literally speak for 95% of greek towns opinion on them. This is exactly what that house is about and anyone who finds the OPs description of them enticing is gonna have a hard time the next four years, and as OP said, find herself alone to fend for herself at bars quite often. Tri delt is a constant battle of outdoing your own sisters and not even in things that actually matter, it's like outdoing each other with boys and overpriced sandals and drinking. It's sad that that is a sisterhood to them. Who has the hottest boyfriend, who can STEAL that girls hottest boyfriend, who has the cutest shoes, who can "borrow" those shoes and purposely ruin them so she can't have the cutest shoes anymore (this actually happened once according to my friend in tridelt) or who can post more "going out" pictures to their Instagram in one week. If all that is your thing, you go for it. But I can promise you, if you didn't like high school, tri delt won't make you very happy about college.

I liked tridelta ok but they have super strict rules and the vibe is one where they are seeking approval. I have a lot of friends in tridelta but I am happier in the house I am in.

So happy that I preffed them last and fortunately got my first choice. I only listed them to maximize my options but didn't feel comfortable there at all. A lot of girls who pledged last year are very unhappy but don't want to drop because they want to be in a house. So sad.

That's pretty funny. I got rid of TriDelt after the second round. I have never had such superficial conversations in all my life. On the final day my choices were PiPhi and ADPi and each and every conversation I had at those houses had more substance than at TriDelt. I really feel like I gave TriDelt a fair chance, but as far as I'm concerned, they're resting on their laurels.
