sophomore
by: SophomoreI am a sophomore and rushing in a couple weeks. I have over a 3.8 GPA and I would say I'm attractive and good at conversation. What is the likelihood of getting into a good house?

There really are no bad houses. And if you are aiming only for what some consider "top tier," you might be disappointed at how few sophomores they take. I'm thinking it's time to adjust your expectations. It might be more about who considers you a top prospect, not which house you deem worthy.

I think all houses take at least a few sophomores, but they have to be outstanding. Many, if not most, houses don't take juniors. Considering most people only get to live in the house one year (the year after rush), why would you want to live in the house senior year with a bunch of 19- and 20-year-olds?
