how important are recs?

I have been searching for months for someone to write a rec letter for me but I have had no luck. How important are they?

Recs aren't required at Mizzou like some other schools. They will be more important for houses that you may not know somebody in. However, you will not get cut from a house if you don't have a rec and they like you
