Work on your grammar first. You'll learn financials in recruitment so chill out.

GPhi is one of the least expensive houses. If you are worried about money then GPhi will be the least strenuous on your bank account. But it's still going to be in between 600-1000 dollars. My advice is to not worry about the money and worry about having a good rush week.

That's pretty insensitive. Even though this girl is showing signs of limited intellect and judgment, she has a very real concern about money. She is asking for real information here, and a breezy retort that her highest priority should be having a good rush week smacks of someone who has never been responsible for their own finances. You probably don't have a care in the world financially because daddy takes care of that. Money worries are VERY REAL THINGS.

Actually no, I pay for my sorority out of pocket, all $2,000+ a semester. That was my mom and I's deal if I was going to join a sorority. My "daddy" isn't around, thank you very much. I work 15-20 hours a week also. Yes, My last sentence could be misconstrued as insensitive. But, what I meant is that no matter how much money you pay, whether it is the cheapest house or the most expensive it isn't goign to matter unless if you love being there. By having a good rush week I meant that I hope she finds the home where she belongs, not a slap in her face that she can't be in one.

First of all I am far from stupid or I wouldn't be at mizzou. Second of all I do need clear and honest answers.

I think the fact that you go to Mizzou proves you are stupid, don't you need like a 21 ACT?

To Lol....

That's was incredibly rude and wrong. 1. You need more than a 21 ACT to go to Mizzou. 2. You cannot say someone with an ACT score of 21 is dumb. There are a lot of people who don't do well on standardized tests. 3. It's obvious you don't go to Mizzou. Get off of this page and go find a something to do that's positive!

I know other schools post the breakdown of the first semester on the PHA site. I think that would be very helpful to those of us who plan to pay for the sorority ourselves. I wouldn't make a choice based only on money, but don't want to be blind-sided by unexpected fees and then have to de-pledge or something awful like that. We know it costs money. We are prepared for that, but I would love to know more than a general guesstimate personally. My parents will not be paying for dues.

You have to keep in mind that all of the t-shirts and other merchandies is extra and is usually your choice if you want to buy it! If you plan on buying every t-shirt for all of your events, tack on about another $100-$200.

$2,012 for the entire first year, assuming you buy the cheapest badge and don't buy any t-shirts or other paraphernalia that isn't included.

Why in the world are you so interested in Gamma Phi? It's not a very good house. "Cheap" is an optimum word for all sorts of reasons.

She posted that her mom was a GPhi, maybe a family legacy is important to her. Who are you to judge? Every woman will find a good fit in just about any house, take your negativity elsewhere. We already get enough BS from GDI's, don't give them more fuel to the fire by fitting the stereotype.
