My hair is currently a lavender color and it's really cute in my opinion but would it be best to go back to blonde for recruitment? If I don't will houses cut me for that reason alone?

Tacky lavender or cheap blond. Hmmmm.... That's a tough one.

The blonde is my natural color but the sarcasm is always appreciated!

Are you going to go thru life being b...tchy or do you just save it for GL where you can hide behind a computer?

It's pretty much a 24-7 kind of thing for me, but thanks for asking.

To be honest, some houses might release you because of that. It's your call whether you change it or not. Recruitment is a bit like a job interview. You have to balance your desire to stand out a bit with the fact that employers expect a decent amount of conformity to societal expectations. Same with recruitment. It's ok to stand out from the crowd, but not in too extreme or controversial of a way. If you are comfortable with the fact that you may get released from houses for this reason, then own your look.

I prefer to stand out from the crowd because of stellar grades, a commitment to volunteerism and great recs. But to each his own.

In my opinion my house and a lot of house we are taught to look at how "polished" a girl looks but that's supposed to be completely seperate from our own personal tastes. It's not a whether we like her style or not it's if she looks put together.
