Okay so don't judge cuz I'm not quite sure how it all works, but I know it's a mutual selection obviously on bid day. U want them they want u, then your chosen. But on days like sisterhood and philanthropy round, where you visit less and less houses each day, is that also a mutual selection. I.e, let's say the dAy we visit up to 3 houses I want a,b, and c house , do a b and c also have to invite u back to see their house

The whole week is mutual selection! You rank houses and if your top houses don't ask you back then you'll go to the ones you ranked lower

Here's the way the week will work.

First round you attend parties at all 15 houses. Round 1 lasts two days, so those 15 parties will take two days. At the end of the second day, you will rank 11 houses #1 and the other 4 will be 2, 3, 4, 5.

All the houses will submit invite and release lists. The number of women they get to invite depends on historical numbers gets complicated. Suffice to say, they may invite anywhere from 800 to 1800 women back for round 2.

If your 11 that you ranked #1 all have you on their invite lists, you'll go back to your 11 first choices. If two of your 11 don't have you on their invite lists, you'll go back to 9 first choices and maybe your #2 and your #3, assuming both of them have you on their invite list.

It's entirely possible that you will attend fewer than 11 houses for second round. You may have been on the invite list for 7 houses. That could include, for example, four of your first choices, plus your #2, #4, and #5.

You attend all parties you are invited to the next day, up to 11.

Round 2 is also two days long, and you will attend anywhere from 1 to 11 parties, depending on how many invites you get. At the end of the second day of Round 2, you will rank up to 7 houses #1 and the others will be 2, 3, 4, 5 if you had that many parties. Same system will work again.

After Round 3, you will rank up to 3 houses #1 and the others will be 2, 3, 4, 5.

It's entirely possible for you to rank a house "last" every single day and...

...still get invited back to that house. The thing is - - they don't have to invite you. Every house (yes, including Sigma) releases PNMs. Every house chooses who they do and don't want to invite back. So give that house a chance, if you are in that position. They see something in you.

It's called mutual selection because you have the opportunity to accept invites from only your favorites, but that assumes that your favorites have you on their invite list. The sororities generally have more leverage. Especially those that are historically strong recruiting chapters, becuase they will have very limited numbers of women that they are allowed to invite back. If there are 2000 PNMs and the strongest recruiting chapter can only invite 800 of them to round 2, then obviously a lot of women who want them are going to get cut right away.

That's a good thing, because it forces you to reconsider houses you may not have thought about at first, and gives you a much, much better chance of ending up with a bid at the end of the week. Hence, why we always say to keep an open mind.

Good luck!
