how much do grades affect you during rush?

At most houses that will affect you. You will have to try harder to be your best self and keep a chapter interested in you despite grades. The first round is mainly a grade cut round because they don't have a whole lot to go on. Communicate that you want to boost your grades in college and it's important to you to be in a sorority that values grades. I can't tell you what houses will and won't cut you, but if you do rush don't have your hopes up to get into Theta, Chi O, Pi Phi or Kappa

I would have to agree. Not that it is a bad GPA, but grades are important to every chapter and to some chapters that might be a little low. I would say you will struggle with trying to find a house you want that you won't be getting cut from. You should focus on making conversations genuine and really letting your personality shine!
