hazing
by: PNMi know there is "no hazing at Mizzou".... But really. Were any of you exposed to any hazing at all?

My sorority makes it a big deal how we don't haze. We're not even (technically) allowed to ask new members if they want to go out to frats (we can ask if they want to do anything or if there's anything they want to do and if they say frats then yay! We can also say we're going out and if they want to join). Anyway, there are so many things we can't do (scavenger hunts) bc it could be deemed hazing. (I want to say though that these restrictions don't interfere with having a good time!)

The only sorority that has ever had issues with hazing is DG. They had a lot of problems with hazing in the past. I know for a fact that they hazed as recently as 3 years ago (my freshman roommate was a DG and dropped) but I'm honestly not sure if they do anymore. I know that this house is really trying to turn itself around but there may still be some bad seeds.

Sororities do not haze. Panhellenic is very strict on this. Very rarely do sororities ever leave campus, but hazing is the magic ingredient to make that happen, so it's avoided. And it contradicts all of the values our sororities have so its useless. If you're talking fraternities.... You're SOL and will be hazed ( the degree ranges from house to house)

I'd say as far as Fraternities are concrened there's like what? 3-5 houses maybe that are infamous for their hazing.
