No one on campus really cares about the "tiers," maybe a select few who are obsessed with being "better" than others but really not that many. Stop becoming so obsessed with the tiers because it's going to be healthier in the long run. If you go through recruitment wanting to get into a house in "top" tier, you are going to be deviated if all of those preconceived "top tier" houses drop you. On this website the people making up their opinions on the tiers is generally very pushed by which house has the hotter girls. And if all you want is to be in the cute hot house then greek life doesn't need you

Really there's only really good houses, and then there are not-so-good houses, and then everyone else falls in the middle somewhere. Only a select few houses really stand out in a good/bad way. At Mizzou, generally people regard Chi O, Pi phi, and delta as our "elite" houses, and Sigma, Phi Mu, Zeta, and Sk as our "not-as-great" houses. every other house is in between them

Usually Chi O, Pi Phi and Delta are undisputed top tier.
Then Theta, ADPi, and Kappa are considered "upper mid" or combined int he top.
The middle is very complicated because they all offer something different, those houses are AXO, APhi, KD, and DG.
A bottom middle house, in my opinion, is GPhi. They are beautiful girls no one can argue with that but as a sorority they don't offer much.
Bottom houses are usually considered SK, Zeta, Phi Mu and Sigma

Since rush is all about new pledge classes and where sororities are going, I prefer to rank them according to which are moving forward and improving vs. those that are not.
Moving ahead (top half): ChiO and PiPhi for sure, because each has respect for different kinds of girls that enhance a house and break down stereotypes. I would put ADPi and perhaps AXO in this category, too, because they defy stereotyping and have an appreciation for what makes each girl different and special
Not moving forward (top half): TriDelt seems to be content with the same image and isn't breaking any new ground. They are a very good house (though they hve to work on grades) and still get top girls. But they tend to be cliquey and full of St. Louis girls. Theta still attracts top girls, too, but they are pretty boring and content to just be the smart girls instead of finding smart girls who are multifaceted the way XO and PiPhio do. Kappa is barely treading water. Their image is as stodgy as their house decor
Moving forward (bottom half): KD is taking a refreshing look at themselves and the recruitment process. They have a great sisterhood, too. PhiMu also has a great sisterhood and is proud of the range of types of girls in the house. DG has worked hard to reinvent itself and it is starting to pay off. SK started out well, but can they keep up the momentum? Only if they can find their own identity.
Not moving forward, bottom half: Alpha Phi (lousy grades) and Zeta (too many mean girls).
