dont suicide. seriously a dumb movie and pha will drop you low on their overall lists.after you preff your top three houses, pha will look at how you ranked the houses and how they ranked you. then it is a "mutual selection". they pair you with a house and that is who ends up on your bid card. For instance, if you preffed Zeta high but they preffed you middle/low on their list then your second choice preffed you super high you would get that house! it really just depends on how many girls that are high on zeta's list preffed them first.

After you attend preference, you will rank the houses you attend and sign a MRABA. That's a binding agreement that you are bound to a bid offered to you by any house you rank. If you visit three houses, you can rank up to three houses. If you attend two, you can rank two. Attend one, rank one. So the first consideration is how many preference parties you are invited to. If you choose not to rank a house whose preference party you attended, you are saying you'd rather not be greek at all than be in that house. Not really the best decision after meeting them no more than 4 times, but that's just my opinion.

Each house also creates a list of all the women who attended their preference parties. If they had 200 women attend, they rank #1 to #200. If they had 500 women attend, they rank #1 to #500. Each house will have a different number of women at preference, based on their historical strength and the release figure methodology statistics. Don't worry about that. :)

Let's say quota is 100. You rank ABC #1, DEF #2, and GHI #3. ABC has 200 women at their preference, DEF has 300, and GHI has 400.

If you are #150 on ABC's list, and at least 100 of the first 149 women rank ABC #1, you will not receive a bid to ABC. If ABC still hasn't gotten 100 women by the time they get to you on your list, you will get a bid from them. You could be #200 on their list and

Well here it is spelled in black and white ladies. Once you reach preference the 3 sororities you visit can potentially see you as a member in their chapter. The rest is just up to how they rank and how you pref. if you can make it through the whole week, and maximize your preferences you're assured a bid. And like it was said above maximizing your preference allows you to be a quota addition, so even if you technically weren't high up enough any of the bid lists on your pref day sororities because you prefecened them all you'll be a quota addition and possibly to the sorority you rank first. If you ask me taking the risk of preffing a sorority you liked less has a better reward than suiciding.

How does it work if you only have two or even one party to attend on preference day? If you list the one or two houses you have and don't match, will you still be added as a quota addition?

OK hold up a little bit. While yes, you should DEFINITELY maximize your options if you can maybe see yourself in every house on your pref card, you shouldn't do it if you absolutely cannot see yourself in one of the houses on pref day. if you attend a preference party and have literally zero intentions of joining, don't pref them. because if you do, there is a chance you could match them and then take that spot away from a girl who does want to be there and that is the worst thing you can do. so, while suiciding is generally looked at as a bad thing to do, and it does lower your chances of being a quota addition, if you really don't want to be in the house, do not rank them at all. Don't take a spot away from a girl for your own selfish purposes.
