How many rec letters should I have for each house? I know lots of alumnae, so I won't have trouble getting them, I just don't want to go overboard

2 for each is plenty, and do NOT count on rec letters taking you far in recruitment. They basically just give you a little extra help during the first round, but it definitely doesn't hurt to have them.
