what really happens

My friend is absolutely gorgeous, super intelligent, super active and I would've thought a candidate for any top house. She was sure she was going to be a Chi O, Theta, or Kappa as she had Very strong ties to those houses. Well she is a tad nerdy and awkward but in a cute way but got cut right away from every top house and after the second round was only left with phi Mu and sigma. Just goes to show you that you can't count on looks and grades and such in Mizzou's super competitive recruitment! Anyone else out there have similar experiences? P.s my friend is happy in her house!
