formal rush expectations?

My opinion is that fraternities at this school really need to step up their game. Many are hanging on by a thread, most discourage high standards like doing well in academics, and some have ridiculous rules and hazing rituals that doesn't accomplish much. This is an opportunity for fraternities to set a standard and aim a little higher. I am a past member of IFC and we are to blame, too, by putting the emphasis on making sure fraternities don't do anything wrong instead of focusing on what they could do right that would be in the best interests of their members. It has to be about more than partying and drinking. I hate to say it, but it's time to take a page from the sorority playbook.

Most good houses already have their pledge class... So

Uh is right. Top houses like Beta, Sig Chi, Phi Kapp, etc have more likely than not have already signed over half of their PC's already so not many kids at formal rush will get bids from those houses. Everyone obviously participates because they probably want to take someone from out of state who couldn't rush otherwise in summer otherwise, not every house will be giving the same amount of bids. The latter of fraternities at mizzou will be giving an decent amount of bids ( and continue informal rush cards cuz most houses wanna see how guys party and handle their alcohol before signing them) . Last year the popular houses most guys talked about preffing were Sig Chi, Delt, ATO and Delt Sig.
