Change it up. Jean shorts one day, khaki or olive shorts one day, white shorts another. Different styles, too. Sororities remember this sort of thing, especially if you are earmarked early in the process as a potential member and lots of people have their eyes on you.

i wasn't a chino kind of girl either, but you better go and find a pair or something similar for rush. don't wear torn up denim shorts with that t shirt you will look like a 6th grader at middle school orientation

you could also wear a cute skirt - casual and flirty, dress up with sandals or down w converse. express your personality. if you hate chinos wear a bottom YOU like so you are confident. some judgement will be made by your appearance, but you want to be in a house you gel with. If you fake who you are, you may get a house with people you don't really fit in with.

I thought it was t-shirts for just the first two days. Is that incorrect?

When I went through recruitment I had found some nicer, flowy shorts, they kind of looked like a skirt but had fun prints and things. Some boutiques might have those if you feel like going shopping. That's my kind of style though. Just make sure you don't wear something out of your comfort zone because you'll be self conscious about it. Wear whatever you're most confident in.

I would suggest wearing lose shorts! Nothing too tight because it will be VERY hot outside and things can get a little sticky! Just make sure you have a little wiggle room in your shorts :)
