phi mu
by: pnmI'm a double Legacy from Georgia for Phi Mu and really want to wear my mom and grandmothers letters. In Georgia, phi Mu is basically impossible to get into unless your a legacy, but obviously that's not the case here. Is it really that bad being in a bottom tier house? Do people really shun you and frats won't let you in their house? Why does it even matter if I'm happy with them

I remember last year when I rushed a lot of girls dropped when they only had Phi Mu and Tri Sig on their lists. But in just a semester Phi Mu improved alot especially by winning homecoming. I had a friend first semester who dropped because she only had Phi Mu and Tri Sig an dshe really didn't want to be either. Then when she COB'd in the spring she ended up being a Phi Mu. I asked why she changed her mind and her words to me were "I judged them based on the wrong things they are great girls and I made a great decision". If you end up loving Phi Mu then go Phi Mu and don't be ashamed

If you like it, go for it! They're a great bunch of girls and it realy won't have any effect on the rest of your college experience, other than give you a whole bunch of beautiful sisters. They're proud to wear their letters, so you sound like you'd really love it. And I've never seen the frats thing happen, no matter what house. Go for it!

It warms my heart the Greek community has changed and actually has started showing respect and love for phi mu. Although they aren't a top or middle house people have started to acknowledge the great things they have to offer. I can tell the negative stigma against phi mu won't be as much as an issue this coming recruitment, and more girls will be content or ecstatic to have phi mu on pref instead of dropping. Now all we need to do as a community is showing love to Sigma. How great would it be to have a Greek system full of mutual respect despite all of these tiers. That's what Panhellenic should be promoting

I know a girl who did the same exact thing. Maybe they're the same. We'll never know
