by: COBI was extremely surprised to see that Kappa, Chi-o, KD, and DG took quite a few new members this spring. We've been told that Kappa, Adpi, Chi-0 never spring rush. Interesting! Was it to improve grades? Looks Ike they took some super smart girls.

Chi o and kappa are NOT ever allowed to cob. Where are you seeing they took members? Because they had ladies transfer in and many many more reactivate (may have been studying abroad, playing a sport, etc and had to switch to a dormant status for a semester or two) I know both kappa and chi o have a lot of girls with other commitments and who study abroad and choose to switch to a different house status (which does not contribute to the total number in the house) until they can be more available to their house and reactivate. Much different from dropping. If you drop or "deactivate" then you have no intentions of returning nor will the chapter let you return. I would venture to say most houses have something like this. But no, those houses are not allowed to cob according to nationals. It is formal only.

You literally type in "Mizzou Greek Life Grades" and the numbers for grades, house size as well as new member class are all there on the Spring PDF file.

The spring pdf was removed because "an error was found" soo..... Go look at the greek stats again.

I don't know if ADPi is allowed to cob or not.
I think they are because I know an adpi who had to contribute to some informal Rush events last spring but I highly doubt they took 14 girls if they did. But let's all keep in mind that sometimes these large numbers of alleged "new members" is often not the case.

In fact one of our bottom tier houses, SK, has more members than any other sorority on campus at the moment. But yeah, let's keep the stereotypes rolling.
