Being number one in grades would be far more impressive if the number of grade points separating all of the houses weren't microscopic. The only house that is drastically behind in grades is Sigma, they got a 2.9 last I checked. Everyone else is practically neck and neck with each other.
Believe it or not a lot of girls don't care about grades when they rush. They care about where they fit in, the vibe, the reputation and yes, the looks. It's shallow but it's true. The more you tout that grades are your claim to fame the more people wonder what else you have to offer. It doesn't seem like much because you only talk about your grades.
Do yourselves a favor and ignore all the lies and hate. You're making your entire house look psycho but rebuffing every single post on here. It looks pathetic and desperate.

I'm sorry but PNMs (at least the good ones) don't pick a house based off grades or competitions. And being top in grades or competitions doesn't make a chapter good either. Phi mu won homecoming, phi mu is still bottom. Literally I played against theta in greek week a few years ago and the girls were psychos. No matter how much you win or how smart you are, it won't make frats want to hang out with you, and it won't make your sisterhood any better. This post is retarded.

I believe grades are an important factor to many of us that will be rushing. Im glad to see this list. Thank you! I dont care about tiers but I do care about my grades and would fit in with a house that strives for top 5 no matter how close they all are in GPA. I would feel lucky and honored to be in any of these houses on this list.

This Theta bashing is nonsense. They lead the way in grades and that is significant regardless of the difference between the higher achieving houses. No. 1 is No. 1. And that is their claim to fame. That's why they get the girls they want, because the girls they want pride themselves on superior grades. Theta was my top choice and while I wound up in my second choice, I would never stoop so low as to bash them simply because they didn't take me. I am happy where I am and it's a great house (considered top tier), but that doesn't change the fact that Theta is very selective and I would have been extremely proud to be a Theta. All of the Top 5 houses at Mizzou are stellar, but I have to say that the quality of the conversation and the interaction was extremely impressive at Theta. As for the pencil skirts, no, it's not my style. But think of everything else that houses do during rush to stand apart. To imply that pencil skirts are scary and outrageous just makes the person making the accusation look stupid. I get it. Some people don't like Theta. That's you're right. But you just look stupid to imply it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
