I'm going to rush in the fall, and I was wondering if we would be allowed to have our phones on us during the day. I know that at some schools, the recruitment counselors take PNM's phones during rounds. Do they do this at Mizzou?

I can assure you that if you glance at your phone or get a call while at a party at my house, we're cutting you. There is NOTHING more important than the conversation at hand if you want to do well during rush.

you can have your phone throughout the day but put it away in a purse the second that horn rings and the party begins

You are allowed to have your phone with you during the day. As the above poster said, do NOT look at it during parties. But you're free to use it whenever you're not in a chapter house!

Thank you so much! I absolutely wouldn't look at it during a party because that's one of my biggest pet peeves, and I would't want to be rude.
