best sisterhood?
by: BFFSo I'm coming to MU from out of state and don't really know many people. I have a couple friends in Greek houses now that have giving me some info. I'm looking to be in a house to make good friends, a genuine sisterhood. My friends have generally told me that phi mu, KD, axo, and aphi all have really strong sisterhoods. Would you all agree, disagree? Anymore houses I should take interest in? They also told me that zeta and Gphi have not-so-great sisterhoods. Is this true? Why?

GPhi doesn;t have a teribble sisterhood. ALthough there are other houses who have "better sisterhoods" those houses are considered that way because they may have more diverse girls with different interests and/or looks. However, a lot of Gphi's look the same or have similar looks. (Ex: a lot of them spray tan). The Gphi's I have met take pride in their sisters and how similar they are. Which is okay! Each sisterhood is different and unique and out of 15 there is a sisterhood for pretty much everyone.

Speaking of that one person I was referring to - here she is again as usual. But at least she's not trying to start drama! Has she personally talked to 300 girls in the house to see how they feel about their sisterhood before she makes a judgement about something she is not even a part of? Does she know every girl who dropped ( and there are way less than she would like you to believe) and the reason behind their decisions? Sounds like a flat out lie to me. Sorry, don't buy it.

Like why are YOU trying to start something? I am sure that YOU have not talked to every one of those girls. That comment about G Phi above had nothing negative to say about them! I would say alot of that is pretty much fact. Stop trying to bash them because you aren't good enough

There's nothing wrong with Zeta's sisterhood either. They are a more diverse group ( not really one type) and all the ones I know are really close and very involved in their house. The hate on this site is undeserved and from one person or group who had a bad experience with one group of Zetas. They are constantly on here trying to discredit Zeta out of spite or jealousy or their desire to elevate their own house.

How is sisterhood defined or measured? If it's finding a close group of friends in your house who feel like sisters and working alongside with many other girls in that house toward common goals, then every house has a great sisterhood. No one is close to or best friends with all 300 girls in their house because it is impossible. You don't have to even like everyone in your house ( also near impossible) but you do need to show them respect because they are a sister. And to PNMs - sisterhood requires time and effort. It isn't automatically handed to you on bid day. It will take time and effort on your part for you to get know people in your house. First semester is kind of crazy, second is much calmer, and by the time you are ready to go home for the summer you will have your close friends.

It depends on how you see sisterhood. Keep in mimd that every 4 years there is new sets of members which has alot of turnovers an dhow a house can go from top tier to middle tier in a year, or completely ruin their sisterhood. If bad sisters aare running a bad recruitment you will consistently get a bad sisterhood. GPhi recuits ALOT on looks to compete with Tri Delt, and alot of the times those girls end up being bad apples who may be great to look at but rotten on the inside! Your cousin may be sweet as can be but houses are always changing!
