Get off this site. Go through recruitment. Many other things matter way more than you being a sophomore.

to OP yes some sororities do have different grade cuts due to the big difference in college level class than high school level classes

Not entirely true. Maybe some houses only look at HS grades, but mine looks at college grades if you have been in college. And our college GPA cutoff is slightly lower than our HS GPA cutoff, because we expect that women in college might not have as good of a GPA as they did in high school, thanks to harder classes and less grade inflation.

So yes, we have different GPA cuts for sophomores, or juniors. Or second semester freshmen if we do COB.

To the OP, yes, you should rush, provided you did well your freshman year. What is your GPA? Many sophomores receive bids. Although we do not have an upperclass quota (which we should), there is still opportunity for sophomores, and even a few junior transfers.

My house has different grade cuts but it's actually LOWER for sophomores because we understand that high school is much easier than college. So for my house, it's a 3.5 GPA cutoff for incoming freshmen, but it's only a 3.2 GPA cut off for current college girls.

My house also has a slightly lower GPA for a sophomore PNM than for a Freshman PNM.
