I couldn't disagree with your more. I am from out of state and didn't know even one person in a sorority when I went through rush. No one fought for me. My grades, activities and leadership were good and I'm distinctive looking, but not a beauty by any means. I'm also about 10-15 pounds overweight. On the last day of rush my three choices were PiPhi, TriDelt and Alpha Chi. I got into a top tier house, lord knows why, but I couldn't be happier. I'm a sophomore living in the house and I have outstandingly supportive sisters whom I love as if they were my real family. I guess I'm here to tell you that there isn't any one secret to doing well in rush other than being yourself, and your best self at that. I don't know how or why I wound up where I am but, having been through rush I only know that the process works. Enjoy it, do your best and have a little faith in yourself and the system.

Play the lottery because you must be one lucky girl. It didn't work like that for most of us.
