zeta or pm?

Phi mus are smarter and involved. I don't have anything nice to say to zeta and I wouldn't recommend them anyways so I will keep my mouth shut.

I actually think both houses are fine houses and definitely on the rise. They are placing in competitions and becoming more involved on campus. Zeta definitely has the more social girls and a lot of the prettier girls. Their return rates during recruitment are higher too. Phi Mu is more involved in campus organizations and did a fantastic job on Homecoming and Zeta placed in Greek Week. As far as who's smarter, Phi Mu had a 3.2 house average as compared to Zeta's 3.182 so I guess you can technically say they are smarter. Lol.

Well which is it? Are people dropping Zeta because they are so unhappy or is Zeta dropping them for poor grades or other issues? Those are really two very different reasons for retention issues. And when you make vague statements like "a lot " of girls drop or "a fair amount" are dropped, do you have any numbers to share? I was just curious since you seem to be so knowledgeable about this house.

I'm not a zeta, but a close friend on our dorm floor always came home crying from chapter meetings telling is how mean they are to each other and especially their new members. I don't have anything against zeta, we have lots of them over for lunch and I hang out with quite a few. But none of them are happy. They like being Greek, so they don't drop. There were over 30 girls that dropped a couple years ago (according to my friend), and then my friend ended up dropping the following year after she moved out of the house. And I know a few zetas that were also asked to go alum because they couldn't make the grades, 1 of them was kicked out of Mizzou too. To me, it sounds like they have multiple problems with retention, not just one.

How "convenient" that you happen to have a "friend" in Zeta so you have all this inside information. And you eat lunch with "unhappy" Zetas all the time and even know some that were asked to leave for grades. Did you know the "30" that dropped a few years ago too? I'm really glad that you "don't have anything against zeta" since you know so many in the house. I bet you have "friends" in lots of houses here and enjoy sharing all of your knowledge about their houses on this site too.

Yeah they've tried to talk to leadership about the issues, but when they just flat out ignore you or yell at you, I can see why they are fearful of speaking out for themselves. I hope they make some positive changes this year! Zeta could be a great house if they just put in a little effort! :)

Sounds like someone has a full time job being in Zeta's business. Hope you include it on your resume.

I know plenty of people who are happy in both of these houses despite what is said on here. I'm sure they could be happier too if they didn't constantly read the negative stuff and lies about their house on here. It's all what you make of it too. No house wants someone who sits around whining about unhappy they are. If you aren't happy then leave. There are plenty of people who would be glad to have your spot.
