rush party

Going to one this weekend and have no idea what to expect. What happens at rush parties? Are there girls there or is it more of a brotherhood thing?

There will be girls, this will probably one of the fraternity's bigger/biggest parties of the semester to make sure everyone has a good time

Most likely thwy'll have a party and invite not only you and other rushes, but girls as well (lots) and then you kinda get to meet everyone and party, then they'll probably ask you out to some more events with just you, and your potential pledge brothers for a more personal sort of thing.
