curious on overall thoughts and impressions of both since they're both very similar

The truth is they aren't very similar. I know great girls in both houses, but I've never heard of the 2 being compared.

They're compare a lot but only because they're in the same tier. Both are good mid tier options but offer different things.

2 very comparable houses. Aphi has slighter cuter girls. Axo has slighter smarter/more involved girls.

Both fall into mid-tier, but I see AXO more as a house that attracts women who also would have liked PiPhi or ChiO whereas APhi attracts women who also would have liked TriDelt or Gamma Phi. (I actually see APhi as a step above GPhi, to be honest). AXO has made great strides in the last few years. APhi really has to work on their grades in order to be taken seriously.
