fall rush as a sophomore

I want to rush this upcoming fall, but I'm terrified from all the "horror stories of rush week" and not so good things about rushing as a sophomore. Any tips or things to avoid?

College is all about trying new things, escaping your comfort zone and reaching your potential. You have to start somewhere. Why not give rush a try? If you never try you never succeed. And if you aren't happy with how it's going, drop.
