rec letters

Can someone please explain to me how rec letters work and where they need to be sent and by when? I know that its a good idea to get them but after that what do i do? sorry if this is a dumb question i just cant seem to find an answer online

If you know someone that was in a sorority that we have a chapter for at Mizzou, you can ask them to write you a letter of recommendation. The person writing the rec letter for you is responsible for sending it. They can normally find the address on the chapter's website.
