freshman advice

Hi, I'm incoming freshman who don't know anyone who's in Greek like at Mizzou, so recruitment is a little stressful. It would be great to go in knowing something about each house. That's hard though because if you don't know anyone in a sorority at Mizzou, all you have is websites like this which can get catty. But I was on UF's website and saw a post from a girl who saw one on UVA's page. Both posts described sororities based on "what you want". The post on UF's page gave a good impression of each house and it would be helpful to have that here too.

Just go through recruitment. Listening to stereotypes will just ruin the experience. Just be optimistic. Go to greeklife.missouri.edu and look at each house's websites if you want to know more about them. This website is full of catty girls, so it won't be helpful.

Just remember that membership in a sorority isn't just about what you want. It's about what you need, and what you can give back. The best house for you will be the one that helps you become a better version of yourself. The one that encourages you to give back. The one that helps you grow and learn and have a LOT of fun along the way. There is so much more to membership in a sorority than just checking off a few boxes on the "what I want" list.
