best and worst

by: kites

In your opinion, what chapters would you consider the best at Mizzou? The worst?
IMO, Chi O is best and Zeta is the worst

Phi mu has really stepped it up. I think sigma is (unfortunately) our worst chapter, closely followed by Zeta
Best - Delta. They have the looks, the brains, and great social lives

Best: Pi Phi or Delta. These girls have it all.
Worst: There are no bad houses at Mizzou. Our sorority system is strong, selective and the envy of other colleges. It often is said that the worst houses at Mizzou are better than the top houses at some other schools. So true.

That's a nce thought, but not true. We have 3 interchangeable houses that are sub par when compared to the rest of our houses. Sigma, phi mu, and zeta all have been struggling with numbers and have poor grades under all campus average. They are our worst houses.

To Nice but,

My roommate is in Phi Mu and she came back so excited because of how well they did in grades this past semester. Dont take that away from them, they did significantly better than the all campus average and beat alpha phi, sigma and several others in grades.

Zeta's GPA was not below the campus average nor or they struggling with their numbers as someone on here likes to constantly report. They made quota, initiated close to 100 girls, and COBed an excellent group of girls this spring. And btw, no one who COBed has dropped out as someone has also claimed on this site. Enough with the ridiculous rumors.

What you don't understand is that on many other campuses, the all-sorority GPA is barely above the all-school average, whereas at Mizzou the average sorority GPA far surpasses the school average. On other campuses it is not unusual for even an above average sorority to lose 1/3 of its pledge class. On some other campuses philanthropy is an afterthought whereas some of the sorority projects at Mizzou lead the nation. At some schools there are more sorority openings than there are girls going through rush and they take new members all year long just to keep afloat whereas here is it extremely competitive. We have very high standards and the person who said our worst houses surpass the best on some campuses is absolutely correct. Both of my older sisters attended out-of-state universities and pledged, but both are in awe of the strength of our sisterhoods here are Mizzou, where I am an out-of-state student, too. I chose this school for two reasons: journalism and Greek life. I have not been disappointed.

Tri delt get off this post please. Some people think you're this great house but most of us just see you as our equals. So stop.

Tri Delta - you are proving that you grow more irrelevant each year by the amount of time you spend on this site self-ranking. You have some decent girls and A LOT of chubby, not very bright, snotty girls. Much like DG, your true glory days were in the early 1990's. Sad, and why I DIDN'T pledge the house my Mom & Aunt were in. And they completely understood why I didn't want to be stupid Dolly the Dolphin!

I find it really hard to believe that someone wouldn't want to be in a top house especially if they were a double legacy. I'm calling b.s. You were obviously cut.

Tri Delts are legends in their own minds. Not everyone wants to be in or thinks that is a top house. Tri Delts just keep telling themselves they are top!

You can protest and accuse all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that TriDelt is a top house. Your opinion is irrelevant; it's the numbers that count. And TriDelt has top retention numbers and return rates during rush. TriDelt, PiPhi and to a certain extent ChiO and Theta get exactly the girls they want. You might not like it, but it's true.

best houses are clearly either chi o or delta gamma
and tri delta always self rank, how are people just noticing this?

DG & ChiO? What parallel universe do you call home? DG has major retention issues, some financial concerns and their house doesn't compare to the best. ChiO is barely hanging on to top tier and needs a better rush to not fall in the rankings next year. Their last two pledge classes have been just average. Only two houses are solidly top tier: TriDelt and PiPhi.

Tri Delt ADPi Theta Chi O Phi Mu

My mom and I were in one, my Aunt in one, and two of my cousins in the others. We ALL love our houses, we all have/had stellar grades and were/are super involved. Mizzou just has amazing houses in an over-the-top wonderful Greek Life no matter what "tier" your house is. I've been in each house and they're all gorgeous and they all make me feel at home and welcomed! Go Greek at Mizzou!
