rec letters for rush

You will be fine if you don't have a rec letter. some girls that have rec letters don't even get into that sorority.

1. It can be an alumni from any school
2. I don't know how all the houses choose their new members but rec letters are probably helpful in getting you invited back to like the 2nd round. There are going to probably be around like 1800 other girls and a lot of them will have rec letters so i would get them too.
3. Ask your parents friends, your friends moms, teachers, neighbors, etc. to see if any of them were in a sorority and would write you a letter. If not, you may have a panhellenic alumnae association in your area that will help you out.
4. As far as I know, it has to be an alumni, not a current member

But don't worry if you can't find someone for all the houses! There are tons of girls without rec letters that get into their favorite houses!

A rec is a requirement in my top tier house. It's best if you get them yourself. Why wouldn't you? It's an opportunity for someone to say something glowing about you. It's only March, so you have five months to get this done. If you don't you're pretty lazy. I can tell you that at least 3/4ths of our new members have recs done ahead of time that we can study in the weeks leading up to rush.
