Ask your aunts and grandmas and cousins first. Then ask your friends and try and find out if their older sisters or their moms were in a sorority. Ask coworkers, ask female teachers at ur school, and the if all else fails contact ur local Panhellenic

Good advice. Also be ready to give them a resume that highlights 1) your GPA, weighted and regular 2) the types of classes you have taken (AP, Honors) 3) any honors and awards you have received (National Honor Society, AP Scholar, high academic honors for 7 semesters straight, etc.) 4) your special areas of interest where you excel. Do you play the piano? Sing? Did you make an all-conference team in swimming? Soccer? 5) any volunteer activities you have committed to and 6) any jobs you have had for a significant length of time. Also provide a list of three teachers/adults and their contact information so that the person writing the rec can find out more about you from someone who knows you well.
