by: Freshman '15I'm only in high school so I don't know much about rushing next year! What do you need to fill out and what do you specifically give the girls when you rush? Is it common to have a letter of recommendation? Also, do they know how much your parents make and do they involve that in a factor of picking you? Thank you :)

You fill out an online form that Mizzou PHA will tell everyone about (on Twitter usually) when it comes out. That happens in the early summer usually.
When you are rushing, you will be given a few t-shirts to wear on open house day and philanthropy day.
It's very helpful to have letters of rec so people in the house will have an idea of you are! I highly recommend it. However, it isn't unheard of to get into a house without a rec (I personally had letters of rec, but didn't have one for the house that I ended up in).
If the houses know a lot of specifics about you and someone knows who your parents are, then they might have an idea about how well off you are. But my house specifically has never put an importance on this. I wouldn't say that's an important factor in many houses because the fact that you are going through rush makes it seem like you would be able to pay for the sorority itself and that's the only reason that money is important.
Rush is stressful but a great experience and way to meet people! Be excited :)
