Unbelievable recruitment everyone - Best since I've been greek at Mizzou!

I looks like every chapter got an amazing new member class! Congrats to all!!!

how am I supposed to console my daughter who went throught your whole week of recruitment only to not get one single bid on the last day :(

How devastating for her! I can't imagine how upset she must be. Did she have 3 houses left on Pref Day? Just tell her to wait it out. Some houses might COB throughout the year. Tell her to register for COB by checking the PHA site. Also, I believe we're adding a new sorority this year, Sigma Kappa. They will be recruiting for an entire house. Have her check into that. I've seen sooooooo many great girls fall throught the cracks of recruitment and with the large number that went through this year, I guarantee that's what happened to her - She fell through the cracks. But if she really wants to be greek, stick with it, she still can be!

Same with my daughter, and a lot of her friends. Didn't get into a house at all. Perplexing! Long, emotional week for that to happen. Bummer.

if you go to a house on the last day, you should be on their bid list. what goes ???

have your daughter sign up for COB. check with Panhellenic on this. also Sigma Kappa is coming as a new sorority. check this out. sounds like this school needs more sororities. no matter what some of these comments say, a girl can be happy in a sorority that was not her first choice. there are plenty of us. hang in there.

thanks for all the comments, glad to know there is still a chance for my daughter to be part of a sorority. She was so excited to be taking part in the recruitment and soooooo devastated when she didn't get a bid. She will definitely check out COB opportunities.

I think it's fair to say that this was the most brutal recruitment ever at Mizzou. Girls were lucky to receive a bid to any of our 14 amazing chapters. Every chapter got a fantastic new pledge class, and unfortunately, many qualified girls who would have had a decent recruitment in the past totally fell through the cracks this year.

sorry to hear of the brutal recruitment. wonder how many got cut and wonder even more if you need another sorority......just asking and wondering if they all made quota.
