Who decides on the tiers? Is it something published by Panhel so everyone knows which houses are good? Or is it the personal opinion of a few desperate girls trying to reclaim their high school popularity by clawing their way to the top? Just wondering...

Greektown decides on tiers, not just "a few desperate girls" - and the tiers that have been CONTINUOUSLY listed are correct - our top tiers and middle tiers are all solid chapters and offer looks as well as fun, involvement, partying, etc.

so funny. tri sig number 6...more like 13th. phi mu number 9...more like dead last. kappa number 4? more like 8th. DDD number 7? more like number 1!!! gphi 8? more like top 3.

none of this has any real basis. get a reality grip.

tri delt, gphi, and pi phi are top three, pi phi being number 3 and gphi and tri delt....ehh i really don't think you can pick just one to be number one.

other top tier houses: dg, chi-o, and possibly alpha phi.

So, how does Greektown decide on the tiers? Answering "we all know the tiers" doesn't work, because clearly there's some disagreement.

Humor (DDD) - ranking by numbers is a bit tougher that's why the tiers are easier. Like the example you gave for numbers, I don't agree with, but the tiers that are listed I do agree with. Don't worry - your house is considered a top tier.

tiers at mizzou are for the most part based on looks, popularity, and social life...but that's really not all, grades are important as well. you also can't be a top house if frats and sororities don't like you.

top tier: g phi, tri delt, chi o, pi phi, dg. these houses are the most popular and powerful on campus with strong grades and still manage to be the most social and best looking girls on campus.

Nobody can answer this question - who decides which houses are in which tier? What is the process?
