sorority comments

Hey ladies! I'm rushing in the fall and I was just wondering what sororities are most popular and which ones to steer clear of?? And if there is a girl in a sorority that is not very fond of you, do they have a lot of say in wheter you get in or not?

Everything changes from year to year. "Seriously" is correct. I've seen houses go from the #10 house to the #2 house within 2 years as well as a #3 house drop to a #8 house within 2 years. So her advice to go where you can be yourself and have a great 4 years is the best advice you can get.

Top Chapters:

Low Chapters:

Yes, we have tiers - but as said before it changes every year.

As of right now:

TOP--
DDD, GPHI, THETA, PIPHI,CHI O

MIDDLE--
ADPI, APHI, KAPPA, SIGMA, DG

BOTTOM --
AXO, KD, PHI MU, ZETA

But AXO is close to the middle tier, APhi used to be in the bottom now they're in the middle, Theta just moved into the top from the middle, DG just moved into the middle from the top, ZTA just got bumped to the bottom #14, Phi Mu just moved up a spot #13, Pi Phi goes back and forth between middle and top. Who knows what next year will bring. Any chapter could jump 5 spots up or 5 spots down, depending on their 2010 pledge class. It DOES change every year.

I'm going through rush in August. I am looking for a house that has sweet, down-to-earth, zany and well-respected girls. It would be nice for them to be pretty, too. However, I am SO tired of the drama and fakeness of that has come with many friendships in high school. I do want to have a lot of fun, but don't want a sorority that has a big partying rep as I want to have a good GPA. What do you think?

Go mizzou: you will be able to tell right away where you fit in during recruitment, trust me! don't decide/ set your heart on a specific house before it starts because you may be disappointed and it doesnt always work out. trust the process, it works and you'll end up where you belong! good luck!

Theta may be moving up and MAY be up to first tier now. No way is Alpha Chi in the middle.

I'm waiting to move Theta up until I see what they do with rush next year. I agree that Alpha Chi is not middle yet.
