sorority comments

So much hate on this site!! The fact is all Mizzou sororities have something great to offer. Its ashame our tiers are based so much off of looks but that is how it is.

top -
Chi O, Theta, TriDelt, GPhi, Pi Phi (all the best looking houses, except Theta they're hit and miss but they excel in every other area)

Middle -
DG, APhi, Kappa, AdPi, Sigma (all these houses are hit and miss in looks but excel in involvement, sisterhood, or fun)

Low-
AXO, KD, Zeta, PhiMu (These houses aren't as good looking overall but they are involved - AXO is improving big time and zeta has some cute girls but they have nothing else to offer.

zeta is the worst house on campus. FACT.

I think everyone needs a reality check here. If you have any type of intelligence you KNOW this list is SO incredibly off. PNMs get off of this site and go through rush and experience the houses yourself! Anyone could come on this site and rank. Not to mention that this is anonymous, so people are trying to put others down even if it's not the truth. It's so tainted.

"??" is soooo correct. Incoming freshman check out all the houses - this list does not reflect the strength of all the houses. And go where you feel at home. Houses change places all the time. So just go where you can be yourself - that's the biggest truth and best piece of advice.

Remember - All it takes is one person with no life and a couple of hours to kill to get on here and give all 1's to the house (or houses) who intimidate them or challenge them - knock down top houses or rip up and coming houses just to make their own house better. One or two catty girls skew this ranking all the time.

Basically agree - but I wouldn't just list 5 houses. With over 1200 girls, probably more like 1300, rushing - 5 houses only equals 300+ girls. The other 900-1000 might want to know other good/respectable options:

Is the Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter a top tier sorority at Mizzou? My mom was one and I'm just trying to figure out where they truthfully stand at Mizzou.

truman: kappa is a mid tier sorority known for classiness. they're a decent chapter here though they are not in the top running. pros: huge house, involved, friendly, guys like um. cons: don't care about homecoming, not very cute girls, don't see many out to party.
all in all it's still better than half the other houses on campus. i wouldn't knock them out of the running just yet.

Incoming freshman - you better not put too much of an emphasis on tiers or be too selective only wanting a couple houses - you'll be in for a rude awakening. Every house has gorgeous girls who were homecoming/prom queen, cheerleaders, the most popular girl in their high school - EVERY house has some of those girls. Go were you feel comfortable.

Top tier, but not that much different from other tiers-
Theta, TriDelt, GPhi, ChiO, Pi Phi

Middle (Good mixture of girls)-
DG, APhi, Kappa, ADPi, Sigma and newly added AXO who just possibly moved up this year (all these houses are hit and miss in looks but excel in involvement, sisterhood, or fun)

Low tier (still has fabulous women in each house)-
KD, Zeta, PhiMu (These houses just aren't as good looking overall but they are involved

So many options depending on what you're looking for - don't be too set on one house - you won't be greek.
